These are the outermost petals of the rose and will be the oldest part of the rose. On arrival, there may be slight browning or bruising on these petals which is a natural occurrence in our roses. As the rose begins to open up over the next few days, they will fold back. If you wish, you can lightly tug on these guard petals to remove them upon delivery, some florists remove them in person or in-store but we keep them on for deliveries to prevent further bruising to the core of the rose.For hygiene reasons, this product cannot be exchanged or refunded, unless faulty.
